Rates

First, I don’t like "rates"--especially for recording. There is no correlation between the pressure of a ticking clock ("this is costing $x per hour") and the artistic process. I’ve never seen a situation where an artist performed better, wrote a better lyric, or "got in the zone" quicker because of money. The creative process takes time and should not be limited by budget or clock. It happens when it happens. I strongly prefer flat fees for larger, well planned recording projects and I do offer flat rate mixing (see below). I understand budgets are tight these days, for both major labels and independent musicians. A customized quote for your project will always be provided in writing--whether you prefer an hourly "rate" or a fixed fee for your entire project. Money is not the reason I do what I do and it’s seldom the reason I pass on a project.

Flat rates above are for unattended sessions. If you want to be present for the mixing, please let me know.

Typical turnaround time is between 3 and 7+ days, depending on my schedule, workload, and the number of songs you send me. If you have a deadline please let me know.

Editing/cleanup/vocal comping/auto-tuning/etc @ $30/hour (billed in 15 min. increments)
Guitar re-amping @ $15 per track
Custom drums & arrangement @ $30/hr
